The Cranberry Margarita is a refreshing cocktail that blends cranberry juice, blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, Cointreau, and agave nectar. It’s served in a salt-rimmed rocks glass and garnished with lime and cranberries. This drink offers a tangy, slightly sweet flavor profile.

Cranberry Margarita


Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) cranberry juice
  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) blanco tequila
  • 1 oz (30 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) Cointreau
  • 0.25 oz (7.5 ml) agave nectar
  • Margarita salt
  • Lime wedge and cranberries for garnish

Steps

  1. Chill a rocks glass in the freezer.
  2. Cut a piece of lime and rub the open end on half of the rocks glass.
  3. Roll the rocks glass in the margarita salt to coat half the rim.
  4. In a shaker, combine the cranberry juice, tequila, lime juice, agave nectar, Cointreau, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Add cubed ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  6. Fill the rocks glass with ice.
  7. Strain the cocktail into the glass.
  8. Garnish with a lime wedge and cranberries.

Notes

  • A few drops of 20% saline solution can enhance the taste.
