The Negroni is a bold blend of gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari—it’s a strong, balanced, and slightly bitter cocktail where the distinct taste of Campari really stands out.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Dry Gin
  • 0.75 oz (22.5 ml) Campari
  • 0.75 oz (22.5 ml) sweet Vermouth
  • Orange peel for garnish

Steps

  1. Add gin, Campari, and Cocchi Vermouth di Torino to a mixing glass.
  2. Add cubed ice to the mixing glass and stir well for about 30 seconds.
  3. Place a large ice cube into a rocks glass.
  4. Strain the mixture from the mixing glass into the rocks glass.
  5. Express the oils of the orange onto the drink.
  6. Garnish with the remaining orange peel.

  • The Campari is an acquired taste, Aperol is an alternative.
