Ingredients
- 2 oz (60 ml) Gin
- 0.25 oz (7.5 ml) Crème de Violette
- 0.25 oz (7.5 ml) Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) lemon juice
- Lemon peel for expressing oils
- Cocktail cherry for garnish
Steps
- Start by chilling a coupe glass in the freezer or with ice water.
- In a mixing glass, combine gin, Crème de Violette, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, and lemon juice.
- Add cubed ice to the mixing glass and stir well for about 30 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass.
- Express the oils of the lemon peel over the drink by twisting it over the surface to release the aromas.
- Garnish by dropping the cocktail cherry into the drink.
Notes
- This drink can be both shaken and stirred. I prefer to stir it as it results in a darker purple color.
